Bas Leinders has been an extremely successful racing driver, winning many Championships in karting, single-seaters and GT racing. He managed to get all the way to Formula One as third and reserve driver for Minardi F1 Team competing in every Friday practice session of the 2004 season. 

 

He then switched to GT racing competing in FIA GT, FIA GT1 World Championship and the Blancpain Endurance Series.

 

Since 2006 Bas has been directly involved in the management of the team he was racing with, combining racing and being the Team Principal at Marc VDS Racing team between 2011 and 2014. After winning the 24 Hours of Spa as a Team Principal in 2015, he joined McLaren GT at the start of 2016 as Sporting Manager, helping the Australian Tekno Team win the 12 Hours of Bathurst and clinching both the drivers and team’s title with Garage 59 in the Blancpain Endurance Series.
